Celebrate the May 14 as International Geotech Day: (2+pi = 5.14)

Geotech Day: (2+pi = 5.14): May 14

Dear Geotechnical Colleagues all over the world,

I would like to propose the May 14, every-year from now onward, be celebrated as the Geotechnical engineering day all over the world within and across the Geotechnical Community. As we all know that 5.14 is one of the unique number (Nc=2 + pi) that we geotechnical engineers use quite frequently. Why not we select this number, 5.14 i.e. May 14th, as the World Geotechnical Day or the International Geotechnical Day .... whatever name we give to it. It is as simple as 2 + pi = 5.14. Period.

Please pass this information to all of yours geotech friends, colleagues, national societies, Regional and International Societies, and their branches around the world to organize various geotechnical events, e.g. lectures, exhibitions, workshops.... on this auspicious day in our profession. It is the only way we can be proud of ourselves and proud of this greatest and unique number we geotechnical engineers know since we came to know what geotechnical engineering is all about.
